Why Pepcite exists

The peptide space has an information-quality problem. Search almost any compound and you’ll find the same recycled tables passed from site to site — no citations, no source links, and no way to tell whether a figure came from a clinical trial or a forum post from years ago.

Pepcite was built to do the opposite. Every entry is assembled from published literature — peer-reviewed studies, clinical-trial data, and FDA and regulatory records — and links back to the original source so you can verify it yourself. Where the evidence is strong, we say so. Where it’s preliminary or thin, we say that too. We think honesty about evidence quality is worth more than false confidence.

What we publish

Compound references

A growing library of compound pages in a consistent format: what the compound is, how it works, its pharmacokinetics, storage and handling, US regulatory status, reported effects from the literature, and a full list of citations. Every factual claim traces to a source.

Regulatory database

A searchable record of each compound’s US standing — FDA status, DEA scheduling, 503A/503B compounding eligibility, and development stage. That context is as important as the science and is rarely collected in one place.

Reconstitution calculator

A tool that takes your vial size, your bacteriostatic-water volume, and your own target amount and returns the concentration, the volume, and the syringe units — arithmetic on the numbers you enter, not a recommendation.

Guides and blog

Standalone references on the practical side (reconstitution and storage; syringe and measurement), plus longer-form articles on peptide science, mechanisms, evidence reviews, and regulatory changes — all cited.

What makes us different

Every claim is sourced

We don’t publish a mechanism, a figure, or a regulatory status without a citation. If we can’t find a credible published source for something, we leave it out.

We grade the evidence

Not all evidence is equal. We distinguish a finding backed by several randomized trials from one resting on a single preliminary study, and we use language that reflects the difference — “clinical trials show” versus “early research suggests.”

Regulatory context in one place

Scheduling and compounding status shift over time and are scattered across FDA notices and registries. We track them per compound and flag when they’re likely to change.

Maintained, not abandoned

Research and regulatory status move quickly. We revisit entries as new trial results and FDA actions land, rather than publishing once and walking away.

No unsourced claims

We don’t repeat forum anecdotes or marketing copy as fact. If something is widely repeated online but has no published evidence behind it, we say so plainly.
